Six Senses debuts in Europe
Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas this month unveiled its first resort in Europe, in Portugal’s Douro Valley. The resort covers 20 acres (8 hectares) and comprises 57 guest accommodations. With a décor of light grays and sandy tones, New York-based Clodagh Design has created interiors with eco-friendly materials blending nature with Portuguese traditional design. The use of natural stone, wood and water is emphasized throughout the property.
Grand Hotel Bordeaux to become InterContinental
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), announces the signing of InterContinental® Bordeaux - Le Grand Hotel, France. The hotel will operate under a management agreement with Financière Immobilière Bordelaise. Opening later this year, the hotel will be IHG’s sixth InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts property in France, joining hotels in Paris, Marseille, Cannes and recently announced Lyon.
Mosaic Hotel Beverly Hills redesign celebrates California
Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, which is part of Gemstone Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio, reopens August 1 following a full redesign. The redesign, envisioned by London-based design firm Luxlo, celebrates California via bright colors and original design elements ranging from whimsical wallpaper to ultra-modern artwork.
