The Cambrian is a modern design hotel set in a traditional hotel building in the centre of the village of Adelboden, under one hour from Berne. It offers spacious, stylish rooms with oiled hardwood floors, custom-made furnishings and Alpine views from the balconies. There is a 700m2 spa with indoor and outdoor pools, sauna's, a hot tub and a fitness centre. Ofcourse there is skiing (shuttle service at a charge), a Swiss restaurant, cosy bar and terrace with view of the mountains and waterfalls.

The DNA: Nothing against the chocolate-box chalets, but we’re glad to see more and more Swiss hotels embracing modern architecture and design. Welsh hotelier Grant Maunder brings a touch of Wales to the Alps with this contemporary, character-filled retreat brimming with subtle, personal references to Cambrian culture, such as portraits made by Welsh painters.
