Das Triest is a stylish boutique hotel set in a 300-year old historical property, originally a stagecoach station for the route to Triest (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire). The original stables with their vaulted ceilings were converted to lounges, suites, and conference rooms. Designer furniture and lighting includes many famous international manufacturers and handcrafted upholstery is by local firm Wittmann.
Chic, individually designed rooms offer Apple iMac computers, and flat-screen TVs, as well as city or garden views. Some have private terraces or direct access to the garden courtyard.
The hotel has a gourmet restaurant "Collio" serving Northern Italian cuisine. Award-winning bar with inviting Mediterranean style courtyard.

• Unique: Subtle nautical touches like old ship railings and flags feature throughout the hotel and specially commissioned photographs of Trieste and Vienna, evoke an indirect homage to the port city that carries over into the rooms which feature porthole mirrors and windows in the bathrooms.
