The 5-star Merchant Hotel is a boutique hotel located in Belfast's city centre Cathedral Quarter. It is set in a Grade I Listed building dating back to 1860, a former bank with an art-deco inspired wing attached.
The opulent styled rooms feature original artwork and come with air conditioning, black-out blinds, a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, safe and multimedia hub. Bathrooms come with walk-in showers and tubs, robes and slippers and a hairdryer. Rooms are located either in the original building (Victorian style) with velvet throws, silk curtains and silk voiles, or in 2010 Art Deco wing with Eileen Gray Bibendum chairs, Corbusier classic chairs and professional "Hollywood" style vanity mirrors.
The Great Room Restaurant offers a 5 star, 2 AA Rosette dining experience in Belfast’s grandest dining room and is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. There are four bars to choose from: the Art Deco-styled "Berts Jazz Bar", "The Cloth Ear" traditional pub, a cocktail bar and champagne lounge.
The spa has 5 treatments rooms and a hydrotherapy pool. And there is a rooftop gymnasium with open air hot tub.
