Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills
Hotel Avalon Beverly Hills features a contemporary décor with a classic retro style inspired by midcentury Southern California's patio lifestyle: canapes, martinis by the poolside, and celebrities with oversized sunglasses lounging in the sun.
Rooms have oak floors and feature vintage and custom-designed furniture and artwork by notable designers as George Nelson, Isamu Noguchi, and Charles Eames. Room facilities include an iPod docking station, a gourmet minibar, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a DVD player, Bluetooth speakers and a tablet that provide access to a directory of on-premise hotel services. Bathrooms have amenities by Davines and Boca Terry robes. Penthouse suites feature in-room spa treatments and around-the-clock room service.
The new Viviane Restaurant by chef Michael Hung serves a “modern California interpretation of classic European and American cuisine.” The restaurant is centered around the hotel’s boomerang-shaped pool and custom-designed cabanas. The interiors feature eclectic groups of seating with a curated mix of custom and vintage furnishings. On the far end of Viviane’s main dining room is a marble bar surrounded by vintage iron-forged bar stools refashioned with deep blue and ivory geometric-patterned leather sling seat cushions.
