The Keating Hotel is a design hotel located in San Diego’s vibrant downtown Gaslamp District, known for its numerous unique shops, restaurants, bars, lounges and nightclubs. The hotel is designed by the Italian studio responsible for designing Ferraris and Maseratis (hence the hotels's colour red theme). The Keating's building dates from 1890 and was previously a bank and library. Air conditioned rooms feature loft-style exposed brick walls and open-plan glass-walled bathrooms. Room facilities include a flat-screen B&O cable TV, Lavazza coffee and tea machine, IPod docking station and a refrigerator. Bathrooms have Dornbracht bathroom fixtures and a free pair of flip flops. In-room massages are offered and a continental breakfast is served daily. The on-site Brick+Mortar restaurant serves high-quality food in a friendly atmosphere.
