A sleek and luxury hotel built in typical Jerusalem white stone, the Mamilla offers a panoramic rooftop terrace overlooking the Jaffa Gate, Jerusalem's Old City and Mount Zion. Designed by Piero Lissoni, interiors feature palette of plums, grays and Indian reds. Rooms come with hardwood floors, stone walls and arched windsows and are decorated with minimalist furniture. Facilities include a flat-screen TV, Egyptian linens and bathrooms with a state-of-the-art liquid crystal wall which turns from transparent to opaque at the flick of a switch. The Mamilla offers a choice of restaurants, including the trendy Mirror Bar with live music and the seasonal brasserie with city views. The ethereal Akasha Wellness Centre includes a spa and an indoor swimming pool. Sauna, fitness room and massages are also available.
