Hotel Monopol is a historic hotel located in the centre of Katowice, a few steps from the train station. Used as offices during the communist regime and falling into disrepair after closure in the 1980s, the luxury hotel has been renovated at the beginning of the millennium.
Rooms feature wooden furniture inspired by Art Deco and include a work desk, a satellite TV, free bottled water and a private bathroom. Some rooms have Nespresso machines. An extensive buffet breakfast awaits guests in the mornings.
There is an Italian restaurant "Cristallo", and a cafe. The wellness centre includes an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a steam bath, massages and a fitness centre.
