Boating a fantastic location in Berlin's Mitte district, The Weinmeister is a design hotel surrounded by shops, restaurants and entertainment. It is a few minutes walk from either Hackescher Markt, Oranienburger Straße and Alexanderplatz. All rooms feature dark wood floors and designer lamps and have an Apple iMac computer and TV, air conditioning and free standing bath and walk-in shower. The high, giant bed stands in the middle of the room. The hotel has a spa offering massages and beauty treatments and a roof top bar with views of Berlin's iconic TV Tower. The downstairs Schwarz Bar offers an intimate enviroment for breakfast and later on in the day beers, wine, cocktails and the liqueur specially made for the hotel.

✅Free Wi-Fi
• 84 rooms
• Unique: while many of Berlin’s design hotels are either severely avant-garde or goofily whimsical, the Weinmeister mixes both in a rich, complex cocktail.

Parking possible on-site (charged).

I was reading some of the reviews on other styles and what constantly keeps returning is the fact that this is a hotel which does things differently. Reviewers complain about the layout and design of the room, the use of an Apple iMac computer or the fact that is in the middle of town (neighbours, street noise -argh!-). All the facts I love about this hotel: it is certainly not everyone\'s cup of tea and neither is it the Hilton, and they are not trying to be. I found the room one of the best I ever seen: the bed, which is enormous is placed centrally in the room facing the window. It is high on a platform and me being quite tall literally had to climb in. I slept fantastically. Behind the bed is the open plan bathroom (only the toilet being closed off by a door) with the bath placed at the head of the bed. As the bed enormous, finally a bath I could fit in in a hotelroom. The shower was a walk-in with a rain shower head and good, powerful hot water. As an dedicated Apple user loved the iMac in-room computer and the iPod docking station. The computer doubles as a TV and entertainment centre, all working perfectly fine, including the free internet. For non-Apple users the hotel has a quick how-to-use lesson. Loved the bar downstairs with its high backed chair giving a very intimate feel. Good breakfast including Nespresso coffee. Indeed, this hotel may not be everybody\'s taste. And that is why I like it, it has attitude. The right attitude.
