Set in the theatre district of Porto, Hotel Teatro is a four star hotel with opulent interiors in black and gold, showy spotlights and costume cabinets throughout. The dramatic decor of the hotel nods to the Teatro Baquet, which once stood on this site and was destroyed in a fire in 1888.
The sultry guest rooms at Hotel Teatro are as theatrical as the communal areas and are decked out with plush velvet banquettes, vast beds and seductive bathrooms encased in smoked glass. Room facilities include a flat-screen TV, and a minibar. Bathrooms are fitted with chic modern fittings, some have a free-standing tub and a bidet. In-room spa treatments can be arranged. Room service.
Guests can sample classic Portuguese cuisine in the dark and dramatic atmosphere of the Palco Restaurant, which also has a courtyard terrace. A wide selection of drinks and refreshments are served in the elegant Plateia Bar.
There is a fitness room and 24-hour front desk.
