The Romano House opened in the historical centre of Catania in April 2010. The building stems from the 18th century and was carefully restored by the renowned architect Andrea Pierotti. The hotel has a modern, cosmopolitan touch thanks to the design of Antonio Iraci, and the symbiosis of old and new runs through all 50 of the hotel’s rooms and suites. Old stuccoed ceilings and wall paintings offer a backdrop for modern details, which are straight out of the newest furniture collections from Fendi, Starck and Cavalli. The predominant colours are black and white, lending the hotel an elegant, noble atmosphere. The House Bar is not just a meeting place for the hotel’s guests but also a popular hangout in Catania, and the restaurant serves mainly Sicilian dishes featuring seafood and regional products, always interpreted in an unusual way. The hotel also offers a fitness room, sun terrace and meeting room for 60 people.
