Truly unique, eclectic and individual, Brody House Hotel occupies three floors of a mid 19th century apartment once housing the prime minister. The hotel is located on a quiet, leafy Budapest street opposite the Hungarian National Museum. The interiors are distinctively bohemian with paint allowed to peel from the walls of the comfortable communal areas, which suck in light from huge bay windows and contain an eclectic collection of comfortable sofas and reading chairs, a chunky glazed stove and regularly changing works of art.
Rooms are arranged around galleried walkways that overlook the central courtyard. The feature high ceilings, herringbone parquet flooring and upcycled furnishings. Each is unique, wih some including free-standing tubs, balconies and raised platform sleeping areas, pull-out sofas, minibars and/or tea and coffeemakers.
There is a well stocked honesty bar where guests can mix drinks. Breakfast is available for a surcharge and free tea and coffee are available all day. The Brody members' club and bar, and Brody ArtYard are a 15-minute walk away.
