An one hour's drive to Prague, in the heart of the Bohemian-Moravian highland, Chateau Herálec is situated in the village of the same name. The renovated castle kept all of its original details, but was complemented by a cutting-edge contemporary interior. Surrounding the castle is a landscaped English-style park housing many bird species.
The truly spacious rooms (31-43m2) and suites (60-131m2) at the castle feature enlarged replicas of historic paintings. They feature include a flat-screen TV, minibar and coffea/tea making facilities. Modern bathrooms have fluffy bathrobes and slippers.
The Spa in the basement under the vaulted ceiling has a large indoor pool with glittering gold mosaics, a hot tub in the castle's turret and Swedish sauna. Massages are available as well. Guests can work out in the fitness centre or try their swing on the golf simulator.

In winter you can enjoy ice skating in the courtyard of the palace or even try igloo building. In summer you can go swimming in an abandoned quarry or take a picnic on the Chateau Herálec's lawns. Horse riding, balloon rides and helicopter flights can be arranged. Or choose from the 'Chronicle of Experiences', a great variety of free time activities in the castle itself and its surroundings.
