Gradonna Mountain Resort is a luxury (car-free) design hotel in modern Alpine style. It is located in the Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei ski area right next to the Kals slope at an altitude of 1,350 metres. The wood shingle façade and the large window fronts allow the landscape to “flow” into the hotel. The materials and colours of nature define the interior down to the smallest detail. Local spruce, stone pine, linen and loden create a pleasant atmosphere. Kals marble and wood sculptures lend the resort an exclusive but down-to-earth flair.
The stylish accomodations are distributed between free standing modern "chalets" (120-250m2), rooms and junior suites (30-36m2) in the main building and suites (57m2) in the "tower". All come with a flat-screen TV and a balcony or a terrace with views of the Großglockner and 60 further 3,000 metres+ peaks in the Hohe Tauern. The chalets feature a fully equipped kitchen and a sauna. Room service is available.
Typical Austrian specialities and international cuisine are served in the restaurant. A complimentary breakfast is offered buffet-style. There is also a supermarket on site for shopping groceries.
The 3000-m² spa area has heated indoor and outdoor pools, several saunas and steam baths and a 700m2 summer bathing pond. Fitness facilities are offered as well.
Activity programs for children are offered Sunday to Friday from 09:00 to 21:00.
In summer, 1 cable car ride is offered free of charge per day. In winter, cross-country skiing tracks pass directly with the Gradonna Mountain Resort.
