Set in the former 18th-century hospital "Hotel Dieu", InterContinental Marseille is a stylish grand hotel with sweeping staircases, grand arched windows and elegant vaulted ceilings. It opened in 2013 after a 3 year, 100€ million renovation in which various archaeological sites were discovered. Some of the artefacts found are now exhibited in the on-site cultural centre. Elegant, contemporary rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a minibar, an electric kettle, and ironing facilities. Private bathrooms come with complimentary toiletries, a bathrobe, and slippers. Some offers views of the Old Port. There is a terrace, an indoor swimming pool, the extensive Clarins Spa and a fitness room. Brasserie and bar and a restaurant by Michelin starred chef Lionel Levy.
