Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort
Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is a luxurious design resort located in the jungle near Culebra on the Costa Rica Northwest Pacific Coast, a two minute walk from the beach. The hotel boasts free-flowing spaces connecting the inside and outside. The exteriors resemble sci-fi cocoons but use locally sourced materials. The resort serves as an art gallery with its mix of carved artifacts, earthenware nesting bowls, ceramic sculptures, photographs and textiles by local Costa Rican and Latin American artists.
Gorgeous rooms and suites have balconies with stunning jungle or Pacific Ocean views, and feature flat-screens, coffeemakers, and minibars. Bathrooms provide walk-in rainfall showers and complimentary premium toiletries. Upgraded suites add plunge pools; 1 suite offers a kitchen. Room service is available.
There is a choice of three on-site restaurants that serve fresh farm-to-table ingredients, with locally inspired dishes and an extensive wine-by-the-glass menu.
The hotel has an on-site full service spa, a 24-hour gym, two swimming pools (one adult-only) and a tennis court. Outdoor activities include snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. For children there is a kid's club with a multitude of activities.
