Just 40 minutes from Porto is Ponte de Lima, Portugal's oldest town. A Roman settlement, it is famous for its bridge spanning the river Lima, its Vinho Verde wines and baroque palaces spanning the countryside. An intriguing mix of a post modern building and baroque interiors, Carmo´s Boutique Hotel offers just 15 glamorous rooms and suites, a traditional Portuguese restaurant, a spa with aromatherapy treatments and a wonderful garden with an outdoor swimming pool facing the Minho mountains. The hotel provides an extensive selection of wine tasting, cultural and gastronomic events for guests to enjoy during their stay and is an excellent place to discover the traditions, cultural heritage and architecture of the beautiful Minho region.

The rooms and suites are an attractive mix of modern and classic Lusitanian styles. A number of rooms have enchanting views over the Lima River Valley. All rooms include canopy beds with the finest Portuguese cotton bed sheets, a flat-screen TV, safety deposit box, air conditioning and heating. All bathrooms feature a deep-soaking tub and seperate glass shower, luxury djellaba and slippers. Rooms on the first floor have floor-to-ceiling windows, while those on the ground floor have a small private garden.
