Hong Kong’s first warehouse-turned-hotel, Ovolo Southside is something you might expect to find more in New York’s Meatpacking district than in Hong Kong's Southside Wong Chuk Hang. Graffiti and art installations spread throughout the hotel’s public spaces as well as in the utilitarian design of its Lo Lounge, where a free social happy hour is held daily. The hotel’s corridors are animated with graphic motifs and stenciled messages that play on daily routines by Hong Kong-based art collective Parent's Parents.
Perks such as complimentary breakfast, free daily-replenished minibar, self-service laundry facility, and flexible checkout are but some of the many reasons that Ovolo Southside is the perfect base from which to explore one of the last bastions of authentic Hong Kong.
Maintaining the warehouse’s original structure, each room is unique in shape and size. Mid-century inspired utilitarian steel furniture comes together with heavy-duty fixtures and fittings, while concrete facades complete the industrial chic look. Big loft-style windows let in plenty of daylight and feauture city and mountain views. Room facilities include air-conditioning rooms, an Apple TV, a work desk, a safety deposit box and a bathroom with rainfall shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries.
Guest can also exercise at the on-site 24-hour fitness centre.
Western-style grill and a selection of delicious food are served at Cirqle, while the rooftop bar Above boosts a wide range of drinks accompanied with stunning views.
24-hour reception. Free self-laundry.
