Located on Lake Villarica, in the heart of Chile's lake district, the Hotel Antumalal is one of the country's most storied hotels. The Bauhaus design, conceived by Jorge Elton who was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, is retro-chic (according to Wallpaper* Magazine) and lovingly maintained, with wraparound glass windows, goatskin rugs, tree trunk furniture and walls made with thick slabs of monkey puzzle wood.
This is a great place to relax in the garden by the big indoor/outdoor swimming pool or to explore the beautiful surroundings or engage in a number of outdoor activities and sports. The hotel's spa is built into the rocks and features a sauna plus massages and body treatments.
The rooms and chalets have wall-to-wall picture windows letting in the light and the views and feature exposed stone walls, a fireplace and vintage wooden furniture. Room facilities include heating, fans, and plasma TVs. Chalets with multiple bedrooms and kitchen available.
A buffet breakfast including homemade granola and bread is served daily. Homemade dinners including pasta, fish and organic ingredients can be enjoyed at the property’s dining room upon request. Ofcourse to be accompanied by a range of fine Chilean wines.
