21c Museum Hotel Durham is an art-focused design hotel set in a 1937 Hill building, originally designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon of Empire State Building fame. The Art Deco details of the original building have been preserved and are combined with contemporary furniture and the hotel's extensive art collection.
Rooms have contemporary furnishings, high ceilings, and terrazzo floors. Room facilities include a flat-screen cable TV, and Nespresso® coffee machine.
On-site facilities include a restaurant serving modern American cuisine set in the former Ellis Stone Department Store, a cocktail bar and lounge, a fitness centre and spa services.
