Bordering on the Montmartre in the once seedy but now upcoming Pigalle district, Hôtel Maison Souquet is set in an exclusive Parisian townhouse, a take on the maison closes – ‘pleasure houses’ – of late 20th Century Paris, the stomping ground of artists, aesthetes and socialites of the Belle Époque. It is decorated by Jacques Garcia in his signature opulent style, like the hotel's central staircase and study which has intricate paneling and cordova leather furnishings based on a 19th-century Oriental style. Guests can have cocktails, tapas and tea in the lounge, stroll around the winter garden or enjoy the indoor swimming pool and hammam (available upon prior reservation). Rooms feature an unique décor with facilities including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a minibar and a bathroom with bathtub or shower.
