Occupying the former headquarters of the Fundación Textil Algodonera, hub of Catalonia’s once booming textile industry, Cotton House Hotel is located on Barcelona's Gran Via. The building, a listed 1879 landmark designed by Catalan architect Elies Rogent features signature interiors by Rosa-Violán revitalising the elegant proportions and rich decorative details, with contemporary furnishings and lighting setting against the eye-grabbing original floor tiles, wood panelling and ceiling frescoes.
The hotel offers understated, chic rooms with air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, sofa and bathroom with complimentary amenities.
Come sundown, drift up to the rooftop pool terrace for a drink with a view of Sagrada Família where there is also a fitness centre and massage room. There is a restaurant "Batuar" with terrace on the first floor and a lofty lounge/library.
