DoubleTree by Hilton Liverpool is housed in the recently-restored Grade II Municipal Annexe building. The property was built in 1883 to a design by F & G Holme as the base for the Conservative Club and until the late 1990s housed the city's educational department.
The stylish hotel has been given a contemporary finish while retaining all the grandeur of the original construction offering 87 guestrooms and suites, against a backdrop of sweeping staircases, Italian mosaic floors and original Corinthian columns. Rooms are decorated in a sophisticated, modern style and come with air conditioning, king or queen sized beds, a work desk, 37" TV, refrigerator, safe, and en suite bathroom with shower. The Presidential Suite has the added benefits of a walk-in wardrobe and original 19th century architectural features, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. The bathroom also features an amazing wet room with double steam shower, heated seating, large roll-top bath and twin basins.
The hotel's restaurant offering a French brasserie style menu is overseen by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli's, his only UK restaurant. The Library Lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of Champagne.
The Eforea Spa includes six treatment rooms, plus a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and 24-hour fitness suite.
