Comprising a collection of low-slung villas in Hangzhou’s Xixi National Wetland Park, Blossom Hill is a stylish boutique hotel retreat. The region’s lush landscape inspired the architect, who coupled bamboo and antique brick with local woods and contemporary concrete to create an air of serene simplicity.
The guest rooms, featuring minimal wooden furnishings, cavernous tubs and soft lighting, each face the misty marshes through floor-to-ceiling windows. Room facilities include air conditioning, underfloor heating, a flat-screen TV with cable and satellite channels, tea making facilities, refrigerator and a terrace.
The stylish restaurant serves international and Chinese dishes. Guests can relax in the sunken library surrounded by louvred bamboo shutters, in the outdoor swimming pool or with a massage.
