South Congress Hotel is a hip, indie-style hotel located in Austin's happening South Congress neighbourhood. Influenced mostly by Latin American style, the building features an ultramodern white façade that will age with time, warmed up by clay-and-brick screen walls.
Rooms and suites are designed in a rugged minimalist style characteristic of Austin with materials inspired by the Texas terrain, such as leather, denim and unfinished reclaimed wood. Room facilities include air conditioning, pillowtop beds with bespoke Matteo linens, LED TVs, local minibars, and walk-in showers. Upgrade to a suite for pluses like furnished balconies, full bars, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
There’s a street-level lobby bar, separated from reception via extended bookshelves lined with design and travel volumes. The requisite pool bar graces the second floor, and besides the all-day, continental comfort plates on offer at Café No Sé, a Japanese restaurant, a new American bar and grill, and a juice and locally roasted coffee bar.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, sundeck and 24-hour fitness centre.
Also, a 24-hour front desk, a cash machine, gift shop and shops at the property.
