Coco-Mat Hotel Athens
Coco-Mat, the famous Greek brand which sells its all-natural mattresses to many of the world's best hotels, has commandeered a block of flats in Athens' swanky Kolonaki for its own flagship hotel. Four-layer mattresses and a 12-pillow menu ensure a good night's sleep. All the Scandi-style furniture (for sale in the ground-floor showroom) is by Coco-Mat, from the pastel linen cushions to the complimentary wooden bicycles for guests. The vibe is warm and informal, with young, eager-to-please staff, an honesty bar and Greek herbal teas in bountiful supply in the bedrooms. There's also a rooftop bar with quirky murals painted onto the surrounding buildings. No to mention a fabulous view over the Greek metropolis.
