The DNA: The property is named after Jan Wellem, who together with his wife Anna Maria Luisa of the House of Medici significantly impacted Düsseldorf to become the center of culture and fine arts that it is today. In the spirit of its namesake, The Wellem is home to an impressive collection of contemporary art displayed throughout the property and within guest suites, including works from internationally renowned artists such as Jeff Koons, HA Schult, and Julian Schnabel.
