B Ocean Resort | Fort Lauderdale, Florida

B Hotels & Resorts has completed the renovation of the beachfront B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The hotel was originally built in 1956 as the Yankee Clipper, named after its ship-like structure. Situated along the Atlantic Ocean, the team at B Ocean Resort incorporated historic elements and blended them to create a modern look.

The 484 guestrooms and suites range in size from 28-158 m2 (300-1,700 sq. ft.), with many featuring a private balcony. A presidential suite offers views of the water. The design serves up a coastal-chic vibe, inspired by the property’s waterside backdrop, with hues of blue and gray, dark woods and prints reminiscent of the local endangered sea turtle, according to the design firm.

Along with the brand’s signature bed, each room has custom furnishings, a 55-in. HD LED interactive flat-screen television, reading nook, Aveda bath amenities, Keurig coffeemaker, in-room safe and a mini-fridge. As part of the multimillion-dollar refurbishment, the resort is also introducing a two-story penthouse with private elevator, kitchenette, separate sitting area and a sleeping room with a king-size bed and views of the ocean and Fort Lauderdale Beach.

The resort is located in the heart of the city, with access to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades and downtown Las Olas Blvd.
