Vibe: The distinctive minimalist interiors of this design b&b complement the 200 year old “monte”, or Portuguese farmhouse. It offers spectacular views of the valley and comes with 5 ultra stylish, spacious rooms with private terraces.
Area: Located just outside Faro and near its airport, yet a world away in a secluded valley overlooking São Brás de Alportel, Portugal’s cork capital.
The DNA: Flemish husband and wife team Frank and Veronique Persyn left busy careers behind to build a life with less stress, less focus on materialism, in order to learn to enjoy the simplicity, tranquility and the outdoors. After a three year search they found Farmhouse of the Palms where they share their dream with a few lucky guests. The stunning garden has a spectacular, black-tiled pool surrounded by a terrace with sun beds. Hammocks and loungers can be found throughout the garden and also in the various lounge areas inside, which includes a small library by the former bread oven.
Suite-Me-Up: There are just five ultra stylish rooms, and really you can’t go wrong, but number 4 comes with a roof terrace featuring a bed for outdoor sleeping under the stars.
