1908 Lisboa Hotel

1908 Lisboa Hotel | Lisbon

Vibe: Once abandoned, this stunning Art Nouveau building, has returned to its former glory and is a beacon of change for this area.

Area: Arroios, like many Lisbon neighbourhoods, “up and coming” – traditionally home to immigrants.

The DNA: One of Lisbons most architecturally impressive hotels, the 1908 Lisboa Hotel is set in an Art Nouveau edifice originally built in -you guessed it – 1908 by architect Adães Bermudes as luxury apartments. It was converted into a hotel in 2017 offering 36 clean-lined rooms, a bar and the Infame Restaurant with an original and tasty menu.

Suite-Me-Up: Splash out and get the King of Dome duplex suite with its tiny round window right up under the dome giving you a bird’s eye view of the red-roofed capital. Beneath that is a luxurious bedroom with a bathroom complete with free standing tub and a separate rain shower.

✅ free Wi-Fi • size matters: 36 rooms & suites (18-51m2) (194-549 sq ft) • hotel opened: 2017 • interior design: Atelier Maldonado • bathroom amenities: Castelbel • parking possible at a location nearby (charged) • no pets allowed • 24-hour reception • Intendente metro station: 2-minute walk
