Herman K | Copenhagen

Copenhagen based Brøchner Hotels have opened Hotel Herman K, a five-star boutique hotel next to the exclusive department store Magasin du Nord on the main shopping street, Strøget.

The hotel is set in a converted transformer station from 1963 which a raw and unpolished black metal clad exterior. Large glass doors draw attention to the lobby and bar with its 12m high ceiling. Here, the raw and unpolished architecture serves as a frame and canvas for a custom-designed art piece, hanging in the middle of the room, casting its living shadows around the lobby.

The design hotel offers 31 rooms, including duplex suites and a Penthouse Suite with a 40m2 private roof terrace. Guests will have access to rooms by their mobile phone and also to the audiovisual equipment.

Herman K’s restaurant is overseen by the team behind Copenhagen‘s two-Michelin starred restaurant Kadeau.

All hotel guests are invited to the ‘Wine Hour’ – a signature concept at all Brøchner hotels. New is the ‘Night Cap Hour’, where the hotel’s exclusive bar invites all hotel guests to settle the day in relaxing surroundings. Both hours are complimentary.

Lise Egenius, former hotel manager at Hotel SP34, has been appointed hotel manager at Hotel Herman K. “Today luxury is individual. It is about originality, creating unique experiences and something unexpected. Therefore, at Hotel Herman K, we have redefined luxury, which includes the surroundings, the atmosphere and the service, focusing on the guest, providing a conceptual and unique hotel experience.”
