The Rooms of Rome - Palazzo Rhinoceros

The Rooms of Rome – Palazzo Rhinoceros

Combining our favourite pastimes: architecture, interior design and art, The Rooms of Rome occupies parts of the 17th-century Palazzo of the Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti which promotes artistic experimentations that go beyond conventional boundaries.

The 24 fully equipped apartments (each one different to the next in terms of layout and style) are designed by iconic French architect Jean Nouvel. Imagined as “openable” areas; stark steel boxes sharply juxtapose the history of the palace’s storied walls. Blessed with natural light, finishes include trompe l’oeil panels that mimic a mirror reflecting an alternative dimension of the room, plus midcentury inspired furniture set off by exposed brickwork and ancient timber beams.

Located on the fourth and rooftop of the Palazzo Rhinoceros is the Russian inspired Caviar Kaspia Roma where guests can nibble on imperial crab and caviar washed down with a selection of fine wines. Humbling views include Palatine Hill, the Forum, Piazza della Bocca della Verità, the Temple of Vestia, the Arch of Janus and the hills of Rome.
