district: Jewellery Quarter
Selina, the experience-led hospitality group targeting the “modern nomadic traveller”, has opened its doors to it second UK hotel in Birmingham. The property, originally a factory in the Jewellery Quarter, offers 132 beds in total in 39 rooms.
Designed to reflect Birmingham’s creative spirit, interior designer Lorna Keller worked closely with local artists and the community to source artwork and materials that represent and embrace the local talent of Birmingham.
Selina Birmingham offers an eclectic range of vibrant spaces, including a sociable lobby space, a dedicated wellness area, a coffee shop, a cocktail bar and a Latin-American restaurant and wine bar La Mariposa.
Each of the rooms has been given a quirky Latin-American twist and range between an airy loft, a suite, standard and micro-sized double rooms to community shared rooms accommodating three to 14 guests – including a female-only option.
