Ovolo Hotels has bought the Citadines Kuta Beach Bali and will revamp and rebrand it in early 2020.
The property consists of 182 studio rooms, nine one-bedroom suites and three two-bedroom suites, an all-day dining restaurant, rooftop pool and bar, gym and conference facilities.
Judging by the photos Ovolo made a good purchase. The location is right on the beach and the bones seem right to make an easy adjustment (why is it that practically new hotels look this boring?). The front (most rooms are at the side of the building) have fabulous beach and ocean views and that rooftop pool… well don’t need to do much on that!
The Ovolo Bali is located across the street from Kuta Beach, a 10-minute walk to Beachwalk Shopping Centre and a 15-minute drive to Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Ovolo, based in Hong Kong, operates some seriously stylish hotels in its home town, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra and aims to expand (further) into South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom.
