Hotel Daniel Vienna

Hotel Daniel Vienna

Vibe: A hip, industrial chic hotel set in a 1962 modernist office building. A sailboat sculpture, designed by Erwin Wurm, with a twisted hull hangs off the edge of the roof.

Area: Outside the city centre, next to Belvedere Palace and near to Vienna‘s Hauptbahnhof (main train station).

The DNA: “Pared-down” is perhaps the best way to describe the guest rooms and public spaces (the hotel calls it “smart luxury”). The spaces have an industrial chic character to them, with workshop-like hanging light fixtures, patches of exposed concrete and a decided lack of clutter. Some rooms come with hammocks for snoozing by the window, others with plate-glass walls for taking in the views, and all of them are full of sunlight.

Suite-Me-Up: The Belvedere rooms are the largest, and offer a view of the palace. The Silver Creek Clipper trailer, build year 1952, parked in the front yard can also be rented.

✅ free Wi-Fi • size matters: 115 rooms & suites (16-40m2) (172-431 sq ft) • hotel opened: November 2011 • parking possible on-site (charged) • pets allowed • 24-hour front desk
