Hotel Daniel Vienna

Hotel Daniel Vienna

district: 03. Landstraße

Set in a 1962 modernist office building, Hotel Daniel Vienna is a hip hotel located right next to Belvedere Palace and Vienna‘s Hauptbahnhof train station. A sailboat sculpture (designed by Erwin Wurm) with a twisted hull hangs off the edge of the roof.

“Pared-down” is perhaps the best way to describe the guest rooms (the hotel calls it “smart luxury”). The spaces have an industrial chic character to them, with workshop-like hanging light fixtures, patches of exposed concrete and a decided lack of clutter. Some rooms come with hammocks for snoozing by the window, others with plate-glass walls for taking in the views, and all of them are full of sunlight. Room facilities include flat-screen cable TVs, air-conditioning and rain showers. The aluminum trailer parked in the front yard can also be rented.

The hotel has a restaurant and its own bakery. Honey comes from the rooftop beehive. Vintage cruiser bikes and Vespa scooters can be rented on site.
