Morgan & Mees Amsterdam

Morgan & Mees | Amsterdam

district: Frederik Hendrikbuurt, Oud West

Morgan & Mees is an individual boutique hotel set in a completely renovated 1880s former girls orphanage in Amsterdam West. The interior style mixes vintage and contemporary design and matches the characteristics of the monumental building, in a balance that is both classic and fresh.

The hotel is located on the Nassaukade/Singelgracht canal, on the verge of the popular Jordaan quarter with its many shops, galleries, restaurants and bars. It also houses the Anne Frank Museum, a 600m stroll along the Bloemgracht, one of Amsterdam‘s most quaint and beautiful canals.

Rooms (just nine in total) offer nice touches like oak floors, premium Coco-Mat bedding, luxury linens and designer toiletries. Room facilities include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a sofa, a work desk and a safe. Bathrooms have rain showers and some feature free standing tubs. The Split-level suites have separate living and bedroom areas and terraces overlooking the garden or city.

For a bite to eat, guests can check out the all-day Morgan & Mees restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine in its dining room, conservatory or garden terrace. The bar offers a wide variety of spirits, as well as local craft beers, great liquors and classic cocktails.
