Stout & Co. Amsterdam

Stout & Co. | Amsterdam

district: City Centre – Kadijken

The Crowned Hawk brewery stopped making ale at its Hoogte Kadijk plant in Amsterdam in the 1950s, but the 1960s red brick building which took its place survived the intervening years and after a bit of a wash and brush up it has now become home to Stout & Co. bed and breakfast.

The spacious rooms are better described as mini apartments, as each has a kitchenette, ✅ free minibar, a dining area as well as en-suite bathrooms. Decorated in a contemporary style with furniture by Dutch and Flemish designers, they all have their own colour scheme. A decked terrace area at the rear provides a pleasant oasis in the middle of the city – perfect for a sunny morning breakfast or an evening tipple.

In the morning, an extensive, organic breakfast is served either in the breakfast room or – weather permitting – on the deck.
