Vibe: Sleepy charmer.
Area: In the village of Westvleteren, West Flanders. The Saint Sixtus Abbey (known for its beer) and the battlefields of Ypres are close by.
The DNA: ‘t Heilig Genot (“Sacred Delight”) is a charming, family-operated hotel housed in a former rectory and has a beautiful English-style garden. The romantic rooms come with garden or village views and are either located on the ground floor or first floor. They feature a country decor with parquet floors and quality furniture. An extensive breakfast awaits in the morning with fresh bread and croissants, orange juice, tea, coffee, eggs, and savory and sweet items. During the day free coffee, tea and snacks are available in the lounge. There is no restaurant as such, but arrangements with several local restaurants can me made.
Suite-Me-Up: The larger Deluxe rooms come with freestanding tubs.
