Almanac Barcelona

The Vibe: Luxurious yet relaxed.

The Area: In the Eixample neighbourhood, just steps from Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça Cataluña.  The best of Barcelona’s shopping and dining opportunities can be found mere footsteps from the hotel, while Las Ramblas and the historic old town lie within a gentle five-minute stroll.

The DNA: The luxury Almanac Barcelona is the first in the Almanac Hotels collection (with equally luxe outposts in Vienna and Prague), and is designed by Carlos Ferrater of Office of Architecture in Barcelona (OAB) and incorporates two neighboring buildings from two different eras into one seamless contemporary hotel experience. The hotel features 91 rooms, including 30 suites with interiors designed by Jaime Beriestain. At street-level is the Mediterranean brasserie and bar Línia, with an all-day dining and sharing menu as well as select cocktails, regional wines, and sherries from Jerez. The panoramic rooftop bar offers hotel visitors and locals alike an inventive cocktail menu and light bites such as sandwiches and grilled items such as gamba roja, clams, lobster, and dry aged beef. Additional amenities include fitness and wellness facilities, a rooftop lounge, and a dipping pool – reserved exclusively for hotel guests.

Suite-Me-Up: The sleek rooms feature a calm palette of gray, beige, and gold tones accented by white marble from Ibiza and warm oak and walnut details. A number of suites have a balcony or terrace with panoramic skyline views while in the Gran Via Cube Rooms, balconies are replaced by a sofa set within a bowed window.
