B Hotel Brasilia

B Hotel Brasília

The DNA: Why come to Brasília ? If not governement business than surely for its iconic, modernist architecture. Inaugurated as Brazil’s capital in 1960, it is a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis, two wide avenues flanking a massive park. Right here is the B Hotel Brasília designed by another great master of Brazilian architecture, Isay Weinfeld, who also is responsible for some of the Fasano hotels and another DNA Hotels favourite, the Square Nine Hotel in Belgrade. Set aside for all these B’s, it is a big A all the way, not only in architecture. Interiors are handsome, masculine and minimalist – just the way we like it. Finally a hotel to match the greatness of Brasília, not speaking politics here.
