Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague

Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague

The Vibe: Seductive, sexy, red and gold.

The Area: The Buddha-Bar Hotel is located in the Staré Město (Old Town), a five-minute walk from Old Town Square and a 10-minute stroll to Wenceslas Square and Josefov.

The DNA: The world’s first Buddha-Bar Hotel, and ofter some other stints, again the only one. It follows the brand’s usual (Asian) colour scheme of red and gold, and design details as dim lighting, lacquer-ware closets, dragon murals, rich textiles and abundant Buddha statues throughout. The downstairs restaurant is classic Buddha-Bar, while the street-level Siddharta Café serves a rich breakfast of warm and cold dishes (pastries and croissants, eggs in all styles, fruits and vegetables, sausages and bacon) as well as extra touches like Thai miso soup, smoothies and sparkling wine.

Suite-Me-Up: The same dim lighting and sensual colour schemes infuse the rooms, which are hi-tech with bedside buttons to close the curtains, for example. Red lacquer-ware closets, dragon murals and rich textiles create an Oriental feel, and the swish and spacious bathrooms have large bathtubs and L’Occitane products. You can listen to a live Buddha Bar radio station through the 40-inch televisions. Suites come with oodles of extra space and Nespresso coffee machines.
