The DNA: Hotel Cappuccino is a luxury boutique hotel by Grupo Cappuccino, well known for its restaurants in Spain and the Middle East. The group’s first hotel venture, it is set in a 19th-century five-storey corner block, the flamboyant and colourful décor mixes Spanish, Italian, colonial and Moorish influences. An extensive art collection is featured around the hotel, including works from Sean Scully, Wendy Artin, Chales Maze, David Rochline, Marie Banier and Eva Jospin, all personal favourites of Grupo Cappuccino owner, Juan Picornell. Also, there are 454m2 of fresco paintings throughout the hotel, which include the columns in the Marella and Celadon suites. Extravagant monochrome marble and vibrant tile flooring are a hallmark throughout the building. The all-day bistro-style Cappuccino Café has a terrace onto the plaza and there is also a Japanese restaurant. The rooftop pool boasts city views, while the spa in the basement has a treatment room housed in a former ancient water cistern. There is a small cinema and interior courtyard with 25-metre tall towering palm trees.

Suite-Me-Up: Stylish, mix-and-match rooms and suites feature hydraulic floor tiles, chintzy armchairs and retro furniture. Stone bathrooms reference the Moorish influence with marble-clad baths, separate rain showers, underfloor heating and double basins with chrome cubist-style taps.
