The Vibe: Casual cool.
The Area: Mitte. Weinmeisterstraße underground station is a 1-minute walk while the Alexanderplatz is a 10-minute walk.
The DNA: Spanish shoemaker Camper is known for its smart yet simple footwear, and he same functional aesthetic is applied to the Casa Camper Berlin, the firm’s second hotel. The communal spaces are sparsely furnished but the hotel still feels cosy, and the penthouse lounge has the intimate élan of a private members’ club. There is a good selection of local books and magazines, but the highlight is the all-day buffet, serving complimentary free drinks, yoghurts, fruit, snacks and fresh salads.
Suite-Me-Up: The bedrooms are decorated in a rich and restful red, with parquet floors and blond-wood wardrobes. From bedside lights to bathroom fittings, every detail is fit for purpose, with mod cons kept to a minimum and no superfluous frills or clutter. Bathrooms are situated at the outside and feature lots of natural light and come with ecological soaps, toiletries and slippers. Other room facilities include air conditioning and a seating area.
