The Vibe: Boho-Chic Boutique B&B.
The Area: Hip Bairro Alto, benefitting from some cracking views of the city (including the Basilica da Estrela and the River Tejo with its imposing 25th of April bridge).
The DNA: Set in a former basketry workshop, the owners of Casa das Janelas com Vista (House of Windows with a view) have gone to the ends of the earth to ensure not only the views but also the interiors are equally pleasing on the eye. Guest rooms have all been individually designed, with a theme of cool wood and crisp whites and feature air conditioning, hardwood floors, signature beds and an en-suite bathroom. The living room (which doubles as the reception and breakfast area) has a unique design with several amazing decoration pieces. It is a perfect place to relax in the afternoon with a book, play a board game, listen to some music and enjoy some typical Portuguese cheeses with a glass of wine.
Suite-Me-Up: The superior rooms at 20m2 are the largest, with balconies offering breathtaking views.
