Cyrus Hotel | Topeka, Kansas

The Vibe: The Kansas Capital first boutique-style offering reinterprets Federalist-style architecture through a modern lens.

The Area: Downtown.

The DNA: Named after Cyrus Holliday, a Union colonial who fought in the Civil War, and which put Topeka on the map by bringing the Santa Fe Railroad to the city. The property blends a historic building with a modern new-build tower, housing 190 rooms and restaurant The Weather Room, a local purveyor of regional farm philosophy. Prairie hues, both muted and bright, are represented in olive and emerald green furnishings, while the stunning wallcovering represents those well-known swirling winds.

Suite-Me-Up: There are several suites in King and Queen configurations.
