The DNA: Named after Cyrus Holliday, a Union colonial who fought in the Civil War, and which put Topeka on the map by bringing the Santa Fe Railroad to the city. The Cyrus Hotel, located in downtown Topeka, blends a historic building with a modern new-build tower and reinterprets Federalist-style architecture through a modern lens. It houses 190 rooms and restaurant The Weather Room, a local purveyor of regional farm philosophy. Prairie hues, both muted and bright, are represented in olive and emerald green furnishings, while the stunning wallcovering represents those well-known swirling winds.
