An expansive communal table with an eclectic mix of mismatched chairs sits beneath a statement crystal chandelier. Retro signs and natural wood floors with hand-painted patchwork designs establish the all- encompassing artistic soul felt throughout the lobby. The hotel features Poindexter, the hotel’s all-day café and lobby-area bar. Outside, a vibrant plaid mural on the building’s facade gives the hotel an unmistakable collegiate identity for passersby.
Suite-Me-Up: Guest room decor builds upon the lobby’s geographic inspiration, incorporating elements that pay tribute to University of Arkansas history, innovations and notable alumni. Custom headboards resemble the architecture of Old Main, the first building on the University of Arkansas campus, complete with bedside lamps that mirror Old Main’s north and south towers. Dark wood nightstands with a reclaimed, vintage feel are given new life with handwritten notes that reference the university. Distinct textural elements are reflected throughout the space to create a constant state of discovery, including camouflage carpets, splatter-painted curtains and traditional floral prints. Beloved, familiar faces adorn the walls, with art referencing Arkansas-natives such as rocker Beth Ditto, actor Gil Gerard and aviation pioneer Louise Thaden.
