The Area: Located in the Old Town of Graz, right on the Mur River next to the iconic Kunsthaus Graz.

The DNA: Hotel Wiesler is a hotel in the grand hotel style, but with a decisive hip twist. Although the hotel is turn-of-the-last-century and had quite a history – army barracks included – the Jugendstil exterior, chandeliers and palatial proportions remain but have been infused with sumptuous white decors, street murals and quirky design details. A large Art-Nouveau mosaic by Leopold Forstner adorns the exquisite Salon Frühling, where guests can enjoy breakfast. The “Speisesaal” restaurant serves Austrian and International fare from the charcoal grill for lunch and dinner, with accompanying beats at night. An extensive breakfast, including pancakes and syrup, muesli with fresh fruit, homemade marmalade and fresh farmhouse bread is served in the mornings. The “Oase” offers a relaxing Oriental experience with sauna, steam bath and tea room. Unusual is the hotel’s resident barber.

Suite-Me-Up: Rooms come in a variety of sizes, from compact to spacious and feature cutting-edge design and modern amenities. Most rooms feature industrial-chic decor with hardwood floors, plaster walls, vintage globes, antique record players and typewriters, crystal cognac decanters, and leather armchairs.
