Vibe: Charm, soul and atmosphere.
Area: Located in Belvès, in the Périgord, midway between Bergerac (Airport) and Sarlat. The medieval village was voted one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France“.
The DNA: Muriel, graduate of Strasbourg’s Hotel School and Michel, architect, turned this former grocery shop with its remarkable façade into the charming three-star Hôtel Clément V. Inside you will discover 11th century vaulted cellars and exposed rafters in the attic bedrooms; a log fire in the sitting room and a conservatory with lemon trees. With its nooks and crannies, and its twists and turns, this small hotel retains the feeling of a true family home. The omnipresent stone of the area used for the building is softened by family antiques.
Suite-Me-Up: All accommodations are extremely spacious. The prestigious Suite des Consuls with its high ceiling and wide windows overlooking the surrounding countryside could have been the private realm of the head of the family; the vaulted Pope’s apartment (main photo) or the Ivory Tower room, which is the most spacious.
