The Vibe: Japandi in North Portugal.
The Area: In the village of Vila Meã, set in the green mountain landscapes of the Minho river valley bordering Spain.
The DNA: Hotel Minho is a sleek design hotel housed in a striking building, originally opened in 2005 but fully refurbished defined by simple lines with pale woods and cool marbles in 2013. The hotel features a large spa offering massages and treatments with locally inspired ingredients such as Alvarinho wines and honey. The Wine Bar offers an unique and high quality collection of the region’s Green Wines and the restaurant serves local specialities. Outside an inviting swimming pool, sun terrace and (seasonal) bar await.
Suite-Me-Up: Independent of the main building of the Hotel Minho, the five suites have two floors, both with outside terraces. The living room and kitchenette are at garden level and the upstairs bedroom. The decoration and furniture stand out for originality, because each unit recreates the universe five masters of painting, from different eras and artistic currents.
